The Reading Rainbow’s Annual Young Writers & Illustrators
Contest had another tremendous year thanks to all of you !
113 PBS stations participated
45,000 K-3rd graders nationwide created and submitted original stories.
Every year, Reading Rainbow posts the winning stories from the most recent contest. The winners from the 14th Annual contest can be viewed at pbskids.org/readingrainbow
In addition, the national contest website features one local first place winner from each participating station.
We are pleased to congratulate WKYU-PBS local winner Asmita Gill, whose first place, First grade entry in the local contest A New Friend in the City is one of 120 stories to be featured on the national website.
