2004 Winners Celebration
April 17


Local winners were announced and prizes awarded at the Sloane Convention Center in Bowling Green.

     More than 150 children in Kindergarten through third grade entered their original works in this years contest.  The local winners who will go on to compete nationally in the Reading Rainbow Young Writers and Illustrators Contest.

      As a special treat, the winning entries were read-aloud by celebrities, including writers Silas House and Father Goose a.k.a. Charles Ghigna, along with artist David Jones.  In addition, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Winnie the Pooh, and Max from Where the Wild Things Are  were on hand to greet the kids.
